Polls Open December 13, 2022 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm


Any voter who is physically unable to enter the polling place has
the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle at the polling place site

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION – CITY OF HAMBURG

 

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of the City of Hamburg that a Special Election will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
 

PRECINCT NAME:        POLLING PLACE:

City of Hamburg           Scout Hall, 1208 Main St. Hamburg, IA

 

The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

 

Individuals voting an absentee ballot may do so in person at the Fremont County Auditor’s Office, or by requesting an application for an absentee ballot by calling 712-374-2031.  Deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Friday, December 2, 2022.

ID REQUIREMENTS

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Voters who are not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote on election day – and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required) 1) may have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the County Auditor’s Office by December 19, 2022, 12:00 p.m. noon. Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification. Public Demonstration & Testing

Testing of the OpenElect Voting Optical (OVO) machine used in the tabulation of the ballots cast in this election will take place on December 8, at 2:00 p.m. on the second floor of the courthouse.  The public is invited to attend.
